Sausage Cheese Appetizer

 

 

These little appetizers are simple, fun and delicious.  They are a bit of a taste of the holiday without the drama of a full holiday meal.  I love the salty of the sausage, the richness of the cheese and then the fresh sweet note of the cranberry.

 

You will need a pack of fully cooked sausages, cubed cheese, and cranberry jelly.
1. Slice the sausages in half inch slices. Arrange on a baking tray. Bake at 350 until browned a bit and bubbly.
2. Cube cheese of your choice. I used sharp cheddar but I’m sure there are others that would be good as well. Place chunks on top of sausage slices. Secure with a toothpick.
3. Cube the cranberry jelly carefully and place on the top. You could also use whole cranberry sauce and place cranberries on top. Garnish with dried parsley.

And that’s it. Super simple and tasty!
